The Nisei Veterans Legacy presents the in-person 17th Annual Nisei Soldiers Memorial Service at the National Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 9:30. The memorial service honors the nisei soldiers who served in WWII and is free and open to the public. Speakers will include Brendan Po‘ohala Burns, the grandson of the late Governor John A. Burns and three young students who participated in the Nisei Impact Youth Journalism program. Also participating will be nisei veteran organizations, several JROTC units, and the Celtic Pipes and Drums of Hawaii.
